Pottery is one way we appreciate beauty! With clay we visualize and create sculpture and ceramics that can be loved by many and serves them. “Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our Potter, And we all are the work of Your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8). The clay teaches us a lesson that we are clay in the hands of our maker, God made us for a purpose, made us into vessels of honor!

JUMP envisions providing skills & knowledge to youths (Orphans, needy and vulnerable) and women (single mothers, widows and women living with HIV) of Jinja district so that they can recognize and use the resources around them for their holistic empowerment.

Every child, no matter where they come from, no matter their gender have the privilege to education, privilege to health, privilege to nutritive diet, privilege to water, privilege to care, and all other privileges associated to human. Children who have the access to their rights grow as an independent individual who can break through the cycle of poverty, be empowered to take their future into their own hands and play an vigorous part in influencing the community’s welfare. As Jump ministries we see education as an important tool to nurture individuals who can bring lifelong impact to the community where they live. This is possible from through generosity.

Feeding with communities

The gospel of Mark chapter 8 clearly denotes Jesus' continuous performance of miracles. Jesus fed over 5000 people. Jump ministry focuses on emulating the love, mercy and Grace of Jesus Christ through our potentials(gifts). We aim to share blessings by feeding local communities. Reaching, donating and sharing food with many families certainly opens up the blessings, happiness and joy of the Lord. It can be a day, a week, a month to gift identified families based on support. We seek to make this true for as many as we can reach with your help. we are asking that you join this effort to ensure one family at a time gets food. We have continuous field trips to identify families that need this support every fortnight, and are ready to act on these needs whenever your support is received to fulfill this goal. Share Jesus ‘love today, let us feed the masses. The 5000 people. One at a time.

We developed the mentoring program to fill the existing gaps in mentorship by inspiring girls and boys to excel in every aspect of life right from academics, economic and social life. The mentorship program focuses on both girls and boys through tailor made training, skills enhancement and exposure that interest them into learning, increase their academic performance and raise their confidence to speak out about issues that affect their education and lives. By working with role models in the community, girl child advocates and women leaders, we have also created space and opportunity for girls and boys to dialogue and raise key concerns in their lives.

SGBV Survivers Program

Whereas there is an abundance of literature about sexual and gender based violence (SGBV), there is a big concern in Uganda more especially in the villages. Absence of education and rooted gender standards means there’s a great deal of humiliation and very few means for survivors. As JUMP MINISTRIES UGANDA, we take an all-inclusive attitude to supporter survivors of SGBV. From individualized care and counselling to community-wide educational programming and encouragement work, we ensure survivors receive the care they need and communities learn how to end SGBV.
